We tend them by hand, harvest in autumn & press the olives into the green, peppery extra virgin olive oil that belongs to this part of Italy.

Around 700 olive trees grow at Bio@Us. For €90, choose a name for your adopted tree and receive a personal adoption certificate, a wooden name sign at the tree, photos of your actual tree, a 250 ml bottle of Bio@Us extra virgin olive oil and a general behind-the-scenes video of our olive harvest. The olives are processed together, so the oil is not exclusively from your adopted tree. Your adoption also includes 10% off a future Bio@Us stay for five years and a one-time physical voucher for 15% off a Bio@Us shop order, included in the adoption shipment. Shipping is not included. You can see your tree through the separate, paid Olive Tree Tour; the tour is not included in the adoption.
An olive tree adoption is a thoughtful gift for birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, holidays, new beginnings or someone who seems to have everything. You can also dedicate a tree in memory of someone special. The tree stays in our olive grove in Italy, with the chosen name beside it.
For €30, adopt a chicken or rooster for exactly 12 months. The adoption ends automatically: there is no automatic renewal, and a new period starts only if you choose to renew. Adopt a bird with its existing name, or name one that has not yet been named; we do not change existing names. You receive a personal adoption certificate by post, a name sign at the coop and 12 fresh eggs when you visit Bio@Us. Choose either a birthday card featuring an exclusive photo of your bird or a personal birthday video of your bird. Shipping is not included.
Bio@Us grew from our decision to build a different life in rural Italy. Caring for olive trees and animals, growing food, making products by hand and restoring the property are part of our everyday work. If you are interested in homesteading or slow living, an adoption is a personal connection to this working farm, not a claim that it is fully self-sufficient.
Some ideas associated with solarpunk inspire the direction in which Bio@Us is developing: bringing nature, agriculture, lower waste and useful technology together. This is an inspiration, not a formal description or certification of the farm.
At Bio@Us, reducing waste, refill systems and natural cleaning are part of our approach. We are working towards greater use of solar energy; we do not describe the farm as off-grid, fully self-sufficient or already fully solar powered.
The rhythms of the olive grove, our animals and the surrounding wildlife shape daily life at Bio@Us. We are learning and developing our approach to farming and rural living without claiming a formal permaculture or regenerative agriculture certification.
