Our Wildlife Promise: Life at Bio@Us is intertwined with nature. From porcupines and deer to foxes, lizards, and birds of prey, our estate is alive with creatures that make every stay unique. We protect their habitat by preserving nature and quietness and invite our guests to enjoy encounters with respect and care.
Stars of the night and Bio@Us

Porcupines are unmistakable with their long quills and calm movements. They are shy and mostly active at night, searching for roots, bark, and fallen fruit. Guests often notice them along the edges of the estate.
⚠️ Safety: Do not approach or attempt to touch. Quills are sharp and used for defense.

Deer are graceful and calm, often grazing in meadows or crossing quiet paths at dawn. Their presence is a peaceful reminder of the natural balance on our estate.
⚠️ Safety: Observe quietly from a distance. Sudden movements may startle them.

Foxes move quietly through the undergrowth, curious yet cautious. They are often spotted at twilight, slipping between trees or fields.
⚠️ Safety: Do not feed foxes. Keep food stored securely.

Falcons, kestrels, owls, and sometimes even eagles soar above the estate. Their calls and silhouettes are a striking part of the Bio@Us experience.
⚠️ Safety: Observe from below. Never disturb nesting sites.

Lizards bask on sunlit stones and salamanders hide in shaded corners, bringing quiet charm to the estate. The little “mini crocodile” shown in the photo was safely rescued from the path of a tractor wheel and released back into nature unharmed.
⚠️ Safety: Do not handle these creatures. They are delicate and protected.

Several species of snakes live on the land, most of them harmless, such as grass snakes and smooth snakes. Occasionally, poisenous vipers, like the Vipera Aspis as depicted in the picture may be present in rocky areas.
⚠️ Safety: Stay on clear paths, wear sturdy shoes, and never try to touch or disturb a snake. If you are bitten, call 112 immediately. Try to remember the snake’s appearance or, if safe to do so, take a quick photo of the snake to assist medical staff.

Wild boar sometimes cross the estate, usually in small family groups. They are strong and impressive, a reminder of the true wild.
⚠️ Safety: Keep a safe distance. Never approach groups with young.

From stick insects and praying mantises to cicadas, butterflies, and countless crickets, the estate is alive with insect life. Their sounds and colors create the daily soundtrack of Bio@Us.
⚠️ Safety: Most insects are harmless but a mantis for example can bite. Simply enjoy observing them as part of the atmosphere.
